Our Wedding Song and a Bridal Call For Action

Alright you guys, I am using this post on my blog to share my engagement buddy's poor experience with a wedding photographer, and then I'll share what will most likely be my wedding song when my fiance and I get married in October :)

Recently, Jared Lee Photography, based in LaCrosse, WI, opened up a photo voting contest for wedding photography. My friends, Beth and Joel who are recently engaged, entered the competition, and over a few weeks, gained 100 votes more than the couple that was declared the winner today.

Beth, Joel and I would like to shed light on this unfair competition, and while my friends are upset, they do not wish to be vindictive - they only want their story told.

So, Minnesota and Wisconsin Brides - please do NOT choose shady photographer Jared Lee Photography as your wedding photographer after running his unprofessional and unfair competition.

Now, on to something nicer :)

My fiance has been completely surprising me in wedding planning the last couple weeks, and recently he mentioned that he liked the idea of having the song "Keeper Of The Stars" by Tracy Byrd as our wedding song. I have to admit, it's a fantastic choice, full of love and sweet, romantic meaning. And, it recently won the K102 Top 10 Wedding Song's number 1 spot, as voted on by the radio station's listeners.

So, just wanted to share what will potentially be our wedding song. Give it a listen!

Bon Jovi Will Forever Rule

Playing a bit of catch up here, yesterday I posted the following song to Alyssa Facebook profile:

"I'll Be There For You" by Bon Jovi.

Arguably one of the best bands ever, and definitely one of the hottest front men in the world, Bon Jovi has rocked us all since the early '80's.

I chose this song as the first Bon Jovi song to share with Alyssa because it is highly unlikely that she knows it, and dammit, it's one of my favorites.

And who doesn't love Ashton Kutcher singing this song to Amanda Peet in the movie "A Lot Like Love"?
